American Music Awards

The American Music Awards seemed a lot bigger and a lot more hyped up this year than the previous years. I have always been a music junkie but I feel like this year especially they advertised the AMA’s more than before. This year I was so stoked to see Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Adam Lambert’s performance. Especially because I worked with Adam Lambert a week ago for his music video “For Your Entertainment” I was really excited to see him and the dancers that I met performing on stage.

Yes, his performance was definitely a controversial one. From an entertainment perspective, it was really hot, scandalous, and definitely represented “Glambert’s” brand and attracted massive media attention (but that’s the point). However, for Middle-America I’m sure it was extreme. But really, its 2009. The old school conservative days are over. Tweens these days talk about being “DTF” because that’s just what they say to each other. Yes, sometimes I wish we can be a bit more tame but the media exposure have changed our realities. I believe that it was definitely a performance where Adam blatantly showed his sexual orientation. However, every entertainer shows exaggeration, and working with him for an entire 15 hour day at a shoot, there is a huge team behind adam, fixing his hair, picking his Rock-star outfits and blinging him out. It is more of an image that his team has created and a brand. Sure, it’s him, but it is also something he has to do as an entertainer. But I love that he is proud to do it.

here’s his video since it came out today!!
