If you haven’t met Arika Sato yet, now is your chance! At first glance you’ll notice a glamorous, dressed to a T, Hollywood “it” girl. From perfected hair and make-up to style that lasts for days, Arika is a TV personality host who is always on point! We can’t help but feel like an A-list celebrity while watching her in action and she always leaves us wanting more! From rocking the entertainment and nightlife industry to keeping us in touch with all the latest fashion must-haves, she is definitely the host with the most!
Being an L.A. Native and Japanese-American, and blessed to rock style most people only dream of. Considering she is a cross-breed of two cultures, she is fluent in Japanese and also is able to express her style by combining Hollywood glam with funky and bright Tokyo-inspired fashion. Possessing the ability to combine her fashion forwardness with her entertainment knowledge, her personality is considered one of today’s most in demand on-camera style. Currently she serves as one of the main L.A. correspondents for the Mike Sherman Show on CBS Miami.
Her passion in TV hosting all started when she was attending the University of California, San Diego where she received a double B.A. in Communications and Japanese Studies with Honors. While attending UCSD as a full-time student, she also held a part-time job as a sales specialist at the retail store Bebe. Arika was a top seller here and always had clients dying for her creative flare and waiting to be dressed by her. When she wasn’t studying or styling away, she was busy interning at FOX Television, to further refine her journalism skills. Between the experience of working with hard news and studying journalism in college, she built a compelling interest in television and media.
However, leaving her heart in Los Angeles, she knew her passion was in the fast-paced entertainment industry back home. Immediately after completing college in three years, she relocated back to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of being an on-air personality. Within just days of being in L.A., she landed a position at YoungHollywood.com one of Hollywood’s most popular Entertainment websites. Here she produced a variety of the site’s stories, about celebrities, current events and the hottest new Hollywood venues. By being proactive and going above and beyond at her job they gave her her first experience hosting in the summer of 2008!
Besides pursuing her dream as a TV personality, she writes the entertainment column or AsianWeek magazine and on her free time she enjoys going to the beach, reading, blogging, and hanging out with friends and family.
