Kardashians for Bebe Event on Rodeo Drive

OK, so I couldn’t take footage inside the bebe store, so I’m just going to have to write what happened inside. Basically there was a line for a meet and greet to meet Kim and Khloe and they were there for about an hour. The fans all received a Bebe lip gloss, an autographed photo of Kim and Khloe and got to take a photo with them. There was a DJ upstairs and beverages and tiny cupcakes with a K on it. While I was enjoying my orange juice the beauty salon owner of the third floor, called Vito Esposito asked me to come up to be a hair model! Who knew that there was a hair salon above bebe… It kind of reminded me of Japan, where there were individual stores located on different floors. Although my hair was already done, I went up while they took some video footage of me for some media.
They re-touched some of my hair and then I went back down to the 2nd floor of the Rodeo Drive Store. By that time, the Kardashians had left. Overall, I had a great time there, seeing and meeting people in the fashion industry and the Kardashians, and getting my hair done at Vito Esposito.

Beach Bunny Boutique Grand Opening + Kardashians!

Beach Bunny is a swimsuit line, and since I shop there quite often, they invited me to their Robertson store grand opening. I thought it was going to be a small gathering of loyal clients, but there was a Huge red carpet and the Kardashians, and Paradiso Girls came! Paparazzi were waiting all night outside and trying to peep in, but obviously they were not allowed to be in there! The Kardashians are actually collaborating with Beach Bunny and designing a swimsuit line, which was on display at the party to each fit their body types individually, and they will be available on May 10th! Here are some of the photos from that night! I wore my Kardashians for bebe top (Black Zip Top available at Bebe Stores), and Kim totally recognized it and told me that she liked it!

Kollaboration

I grew up in Torrance, a suburb of Los Angeles County, where the residents are predominantly Asian American. I never really thought Asian Americans were “not recognized enough” until I moved to San Diego for college. But then again I went to UCSD where there were a trillion Asian American students. But residing in the city of La Jolla, I started to notice that Asians are a minority. In San Diego, there was an Annual San Diego Asian Film Festival, which I thought was really cool, it’s like a mini Sundance Film Festival but for Asian American Talent. My university had tons of Asian American clubs, fraternities, sororities, and different interest groups, like dance crews. When I moved back to L.A. with my Bachelor’s degree, like every other Asian American student, I didn’t want to get a J-O-B, which I shoud’ve because that’s what every college graduate is supposed to do, I decided to work in show business. It really is one of the hardest things ever, especially if you are an Asian American. Living in Torrance, and winning a few high school contests among a graduating class that was 89% Asian is absolutely nothing compared to the bigger picture of the cruel world of show business. But I was truly inspired a few weeks ago when I went to Kollaboration, the largest Asian American Talent Show, and this year, it was it’s 10th year! That’s HUGE! I’ve actually heard a lot about it, but I never actually got to go. This year, my friend Randy Masada who promotes for KiramasLA and also is helping to raise awareness for the Rafu Shimpo, a Japanese American Newspaper, invited me so I decided to check it out. It was at the Shrine Auditorium, and they packed the place! There were tons of amazing Asian American performers, including dancing, singing, short films, and stand-ups. They also had audience interaction where they had a Freestyle Vocal Competition with members from the audience and also a Freestyle Dance Competition. Everyone was so young, talented, confident, and Asian American!
There were many Asian American celebrity guests that attended, including journalist Lisa Ling, actor Justin Chon, Far East Movement, Jazmin, Nylon Pink, and a lot more.

All of the performers put in lots of work for this event but my favorite was definitely a singer, songwriter, Clara Chung. Their music is different but she kind of reminded me of Taylor Swift, well I’m obsessed with Tay-Sway so maybe that’s why. She won the contest too! But after going to that talent show, I couldn’t get enough. It was amazing and I plan to go next year for its 11th annual show!

JPy + House of Glam Presents Industry hosted by Me

The new West Hollywood Spot, Club Industry is phenomenal. The club used to be Area, like I told you guys, but they jazzed it up, to be more of a bluish darkish color, and even has a Burger bar inside so people can have snacks while they drink. The crazy part is, AFTER I had the party on Saturday night, a few days later, Kristin Cavalleri and Audrina Partridge filmed The Hills there. Being a huge Hills fan, its cool to know that in their next few episodes club “Industry” is going to be their spot. Here’s the link that tells us all, that they filmed the Hills at the club. Right when I arrived there was a red carpet with a huge backdrop with the JPy logo, SBE logo, Industry logo, and the House of Glam Logo, everyone seemed to be so excited because this is the hot spot, and my friends who are JPy magazine and House of Glam got to the first ones to throw an amazing party there!

It was pretty cold that night, I brought a mini faux fur leather lined cropped jacket for the outside, which was 54 degrees in Los Angeles, and to us, that's super cold! Most girls wore mini dresses or skirts with tops. Tights if you wanted to add some class, and always a clutch to hold your essentials. Stilettos are definitely back for the spring, no wedges to the club, and everybody looked very nice and classy. Jeans isn't really an option for these type of upscale parties, for girls that is.

Black pumps are my ultimate fave item for the winter transitioning into spring. They are a basic black super high pump that makes any dress look classy and put together. You can either spend a lot for some super sexy ones like the YSL's or you can get some similar ones at Aldo, Bebe, Steve Madden, or Nordy's.

How I do my makeup, you can find on youtube, where I did my makeup tutorial. Hair curling, I use a 1 inch or a 1.5 inch barrel depending on how I feel and I curl outwards. Spray all the hairspray at the end, bottom up. As for Jewelry, I always wear at least 3 accessories, earrings, bracelets, and a ring (that's three). Another way is Necklace, and bracelet, and ring. Never wear too much, but accessories definitely make you glam, and shinier than others, lol.

It was really a lot of fun that I got to hang out with the JPy girls because I got to talk to them and use my Japanese skills! They were so cute and so much fun! Kana, Jen, and Ayumi really made my night a lot more fun! Thank you girls for hanging out with me, and we will definitely do it again!

Paris’ Fabulous Disco Birthday Party

Let’s have some fun, this beat is sick… I wanna go back to the Disco Party!!! Last night was Paris Hilton’s Studio 54 themed birthday party! She decorated her entire house to look like a huge pink disco club with oldies music blasting and crazy pink and green disco lights lighting up the dance floor!

This is a quick snapshot of the dance floor but the photo does no justice to what it really looked like.

Before we even got there, Kaitlin and I made 1000 phone calls and iChat video chats to talk about what we were going to wear at this disco party...but we ended up just wearing our first choice outfits even though we were freaking out

I got ready with Nicole at her house and we headed over to her party. Here's the iPhone photo of me before I left her house.

When I got there, I saw all the BFF's and of course Stephen's best friend Daniel Stabile and we quickly posed for a Disco pose photo!

When we got there they were serving all sorts of finger foods, but they were also giving out Fatburger. I got a vegetarian one, I know its half eaten but Kaitlin and I shared it and we couldnt even finish it. I always end up forgetting to take a photo of the food before I eat it because I'm usually starving! lol

Stephen looked oh so sexy again! I was so glad I got to hang out with him for most of the night!!

I was also super duper excited to see Kassidy Morrow aka parisfan81!! He's one of Paris' biggest fans and gets invited to her events all the time! He's so sweet and so so cute and we totally pole danced together!! so much fun!!

We were sooooo fierce! loves it!

Another amazing part of the decor were the chairs! She had thrones! I remember on BFF every time we got eliminated she sat on a huge throne and started eliminating people! It was similar to it, and way cute! Just had to take a pic!

You guys know Marina from HotforWords on YouTube? well at first I didn't recognize her because she changed her hair 'do but she was looking at pretty as she is on YouTube and was rockin' out with her new brunette 'do!

Of course Onch always beats my outfit, and was weaing M&M's on his silver leotard! So cute, handmade by Onch of course, he is so so crafty!! One of the M&M bags were bedazzled too!

Paris looked so so beautiful as always with the most beautiful Teal flowy dress! Wish I found a dress like that! She for sure wins best dressed always! xo

another BFF weekend in Vegas

It’s been almost a year since we filmed Paris Hilton’s My New BFF Season 2, so our very own Stephen Hampton decided we were in need of a reunion. Overall, I had a blast, because Vegas is always wild, but there was some drama, like always. Almost everyone came, including Me, Nicole, Stephen, Kaitlin, Kristen, Elena, Amanda, and Desi, then we also had our other friends Daniel (Stephen’s bff) and Donna come.

Nicole, Kaitlin, and I drove in the same car since we were coming from L.A., Stephen, Daniel and Donna drove from Upland, and the other BFFs flew in. When we got to the hotel, we all took a picture because there is no trip without a twitpic!

Nicole and I roomed in the same room and our bathroom had every possible thing in it, we had bottles of perfume, tubs of tanning lotion and bronzer, and every cosmetic item you could think of.

After Nicole & I got ready, we were wondering where everyone went, but since we were slow, they went to dinner without us! So we just went back to the room and just chilled. Then they got us and we headed over to Prive where my Vegas promoter friends took care of us and we felt super VIP!

After some dancing and having some tasty drinks, some of the BFFs starting getting too wild so we got kicked out. I said thank you to my friends and left the club. Then only 4 of us ended up in the cab I was riding. I felt like 2 am was a bit early for Vegas so Elena, Nicole, Donna, and I headed over to one of my favorite clubs that I always go to which is XS @ Encore.

I had totally wished Stephen came with us, but I think some of the BFFs were tired.

So it was just us four girls at XS and we had like 10 tables for us, it was wild night waiting to happen!

After a struggling morning, and a crazy breakfast and Giorgio's in Mandalay Bay some of the BFFs decided to do separate things due to differences, lol.

A good friend of mine was having his birthday party @ haze @ aria so Nicole & I decided to go there. Aria is the newest hotel built in Vegas and it was phenomenal. There were performers there that were ridiculously talented and crazy looking, and best of all, the guest performer was Timbland! Of course our table was right next to his!!

One of my high school friends from Torrance went to UNLV and now works for Haze @ Aria and I was so excited to run into her, everyone meet Stella! I hope to see more of her real soon since I will be going back to that amazing hotel soon!

Towards the end of the night, Timbaland performed, and I was so stoked. But I was even more happy when someone else came out!......

It was a complete surprise that lil kim showed up. Nicole and I totally flowed to her, she rapped "The Jump Off" "Put Your Lighters Up" two of the best songs by Lil Kim. I had a blast!
