iPhone 4G front side, looks almost the same.....

We’ve all heard rumors about it, and we’re still anticipating on the release of this new gadget, but it looks like somebody had a little too much to drink, and forgot their sacred prototype of the iPhone 4G at a beer hall in Redwood City.

At first I thought this whole story was just a tease to the techies who are already sick of the iPad, but the iPhone 4G was actually picked up by a lucky tech nerd from Gizmodo who disassembled it and found some insider’s scoop on the technology of this new gadget. The individual who picked it up, first thought it was a beat up motorola, since obviously the phone was dropped on the ground multiple times, with a flat back its purely rectangular shape, from the back it looks like some ordinary Candy Bar phone (eeekk, those are so not in!). The techie from Gizmodo actually found the facebook app which showed the account of Gray Powell linked to it, who was a software engineer with Apple, found out that he was only 27, and it was his birthday. Should’ve left the secret iPhone at home, pal.  People keep saying he’s going to be fired or lose his job, but there was no new information that this iPhone 4G provided that we didn’t know about. People already knew that there was going to be an iChat Camera on the screen and an outside camera that was going to be 3.2 megapixels. Also everyone knew we were able to video chat, and have flash on the camera as well… that means more TwitPics for me in the club (only reason why I miss my blackberry a tad bit). All we want to know now is that if it’s going to be offered with other carriers besides AT&T… that’s for me to find out asap. It’s rumored to be with verizon, or even with other carries, but we just don’t know for certain yet….

So there were so many problems going on with BBM 5.0 for everyone, especially when it was at its BETA version. Photos sent via BBM had to be cropped and saved before it was sent out and BBMs weren’t being delivered immediately. Once the official BBM 5.0 was released photos didn’t need to be cropped and saved but photos needed to be downloaded onto the phone which took longer to transfer than the older BBM, so annoying for the BBM user because we need to see the picture, like NOW. The only thing really “different” about BBM 5.0 is the way it looks, the barcode, how you can register your e-mail and back-up your BBM friends, your default photo, and your emoticons or happy face symbols and emotions.
HUGE problem with BBM 5.0 Status updates which I realized recently is that if you have more than 99 friends, your status updates super late.
My friends on bbm kept saying,
“aww, you’re still sick?”
I responded with, “No, I’m not sick at all.”
He says “But your status says so!”
I thought I updated it a long time ago with “@the gym” or “shopping w my girlies” but BBM 5.0 doesn’t update your status if you have more than 100 friends. Super lame. No matter how much you upgrade your BBM 5.0 version to the latest version and update your software, it does not update. RIM needs to do something about this ASAP, because status updates is how you broadcast to your BBM pals where you are and what you’re doing. Blackberry dependent people would be so stoked if this was fixed. Thanks RIM!

I’ve had the Blackberry Bold 9000 for a while now, and I love it but I also hate it. I have gone through about 5 blackberries before this one including the Pearl and the Curve and I’ve encountered the most problems with the 9000 because it freezes and shuts off all of a sudden, and the battery power is awful. Now that the Blackberry 9700 is out, the 9000 is out and the new version is “in” and way more high-tech! So I was reading some forums thinking it’s probably time for me to either upgrade my phone to the 9700 or get the iPhone. Yes I’m thinking of joining the iPhone cult. I absolutely love the applications, but the only thing is, I don’t know how to depart from my Blackberry. It is seriously like divorcing someone because the Blackberry and I have developed a very close relationship. When I went over to Japan, my Blackberry worked fine, I added a data plan and the email and messaging worked fine. I use a lot of data on my blackberry, from using blackberry messenger and e-mailing and mms-ing and I am able to type super fast with the physical keyboard even with my long nails! But what the iphone has over the blackberry is its web-browsing, and youtube! Blackberry, no matter how much they upgrade their system, the website is shown in its mobile version and it is way too tiny and hard to manage. The interface of the iPhone is way bigger and the web browsing is phenomenal. The facebook application on the iphone is way better and there are hundreds of twitter application on the iphone, and the iphone network has not shut down, but blackberry or (RIM) has had many times where it has shut down. Blackberry cameras do have flash where the iphone never had one, but the iphone video recording is way more clear. I can honestly go on and on about the differences of both phones and why I like one over the other. I just want both but carrying both would just be annoying. Forums say if you are a “message-r” like me, using a lot of texts (i do about 5000 a month), bbm, email, use the blackberry. But if you are into being a web nerd, browsing (which is also me) use the iphone. Some people say the iPhone is superior, and some people say BlackBerry is. I’ve always managed to stick with BlackBerry, but I’ve used my friends iPhones a lot. So I’m thinking of just getting the ipod touch and using the apps and browsing and then upgrading my blackberry to the 9700 and hoping it isn’t a bad choice. I used to have the ipod touch but I gave it to my older brother cuz I had an Ipod nano and didn’t think I would use it, lol. Wish I could ask for it back but that’s kind of rude, haha. What do you guys think and what phones do you use? I never thought this day would come. Tell me your feedback!!

Tokyo Game Show Billboard

Tokyo Game Show was out of control. There were 180 exhibitors there and I know that doesn’t seem like a lot compared to E3 and Comic-con but all of the largest gaming companies were presented there. The exhibitors were Sony, Microsoft, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Capcom and Namco Bandai and a lot more. The booth babes were definitely immaculately dressed and super kawaii (that’s cute in Japanese). I learned a lot about the new games coming out this season and you can catch my footage on UFRAGTV.

After being there I totally want a PSP go, the new smaller PSP which doesn’t even need any UMD cards. Everything is downloadable! Talk about technology! The interviewee’s were mostly all Japanese speaking only so interviewed in both Japanese and English. There was a Tekken 6 competition at Namco Bandai and the players came from all around the world. I was suprised to see people from Hungary, Iran, and Italy visiting the game show, but gaming is a very influential industry! Most of all I loved the professional Cosplayer’s. For those of you who don’t know what Cos-play is its a shortened term for Costume-Play.

These people dress up as gaming and anime characters from head to toe and act like the characters as well. The Japanese cosplayers overall definitely seemed way more meticulous and intricate than the cosplayers I see in the U.S. I have some photos with them, and again, all of the footage is on UFRAGTV. The show is about an hour but you should definitely watch it!

Twitter is such an amazing phenomenon and I am truly a HUGE fan of twitter along with all my other tweeter friends. On Sunday I attended LA Twestival at Hollywood and Highland’s Level Three to celebrate my love for twitter along with other social networkers. For those of you who don’t have twitter, I highly recommend you to get one. The amount that I used to text message, AIM, gchat, blackberry message has decreased tremendously due to Twitter. Besides updating your status and telling people where you are, you can communicate with your friends through a simple tweet. Just have multiple @ replies with everyone’s twitter handles and as long as they check their twitter, which obviously our techy generation will, you’re all set. Twestival was tons of fun, with 2 huge Twitter live feeds, music performances, and best of all a Girlgamer Lounge where I hung out most of the time. If you guys don’t know girlgamer.com, I host for a lot of their events especially with gaming, such as E3, Comic-Con, Blizzcon, and Supergirl Jam 2009.You should definitely make a profile if you haven’t gotten to it yet.
